Hi! I’m Brooklyn.

I like school and my favourite subjects are math and reading. I am also yr 5,

I’m 9 years old and I go to Paparoa Range School. I like to play with my friends Shilah and Shanika. Sometimes I don’t play with Shanika.

I mostly play with Shilah because she lives down the road from me and it’s easy for us to have sleepovers and play with each other and we know each other’s phone number so we can ring each other whenever we want. Our friendship is complicated but easy.

My life isn’t easy because of my one and only brother and my cat keeps on snuggling in my

bed in winter ( mostly ). My favourite foods are mince and cheese pies, KFC, strawberries, cherries, ice cream and chips.

My favourite animals are bunnies, kittens, puppies and piglets.

My taonga

We have been learning to make connections to the people and places that are important to us.

My Taonga is a rock

I have chosen my Taonga because it reminds me of or helps me feel connected to my cat Bella because it makes me feel happy whenever I don’t see her. The rock sits in my room on my dresser.The place I connect to is Taylorville because my cat has lived there for 4 years because she’s only 4 and she likes the place.

My rock is in my hand.

The paint on it is a shape of a flower I made it in kindergarten.
